3/21 Spaghetti Supper to Benefit Music Enrichment at School

Friends of Music at Guilford has been gifting the Guilford Central School with a Music Enrichment Program for the past five seasons, with partial funding from the Max Y. Seaton Trust. The balance of the budget is raised by a dinner and concert evening in a Brattleboro venue featuring the program’s residency artists and also, for the past two seasons, by a Spaghetti Supper held at the school. This year’s pasta supper is set for Thursday, March 21, from 5 to 7 p.m.; the school is at 374 School Rd., Guilford Center. The menu includes pasta with a gluten-free option, a vegetarian sauce made from scratch, homemade meatballs for carnivores, green salad, bread both plain and garlic, beverages, desserts and a sundae bar. A pasta-counting contest, 50-50 raffle, and tag sale add to the fun. Admission is $8 for adults, $5 for kids age 5-16, free for under-5s, and $22 as a family maximum. Guilford Cares will hold its monthly board meeting on Wednesday, November 13 at 6:00 pm at the Guilford Town Offices. Our meetings are open to all Guilford residents. Meetings are held on the 2nd Wednesday of each month. They start promptly and usually last 1 hour. We love guests!

Guilford Conservation Commission

The Guilford Conservation Commission is hosting a late winter walk on Sunday, March 10th at noon. We will be hiking a section of old road in the south eastern corner of Guilford that connects East Mountain Road to Marynuk Road. Please meet at the intersection of East Mountain Road and Bassett Hill Road. The old road section is about a half mile long. You are welcome to extend your hike to Keets Brook Road and on to Weatherhead Hollow Pond. Bring snowshoes if you have them.
